NAStar Inc. Introduces New HotSafe Direct Thermal Food Safety Labels for High Heat Kitchens

3.9.16 MIDDLETON, WI -  A high-temperature resistant Thermal imaged food safety label has been introduced by NAStar Inc., a manufacturer of pressure sensitive label materials. HotSafe DT produces an image that is stable up to 266°F that can be used on steam tables, underneath heat lamps, or in a microwave without darkening.

Platinum Thermal™ from Jindal Films has been mated with NAStar’s T1055 Temporary Adhesive to create a label that securely sticks to hot, cold, wet, or frosted surfaces providing a Single Label Solution for food service providers. T1055 allows the labels to be removed and replaced, so restauranteurs can move them from one container to another; following the life of the product.

On Demand Printed Food Safety Labels can reduce prep labeling time by as much as 95% versus traditional handwrite labels. Additionally, they reduce the confusion caused from illegibility, incorrectly dated products, and language barriers that restaurants routinely face.

“The restaurant industry has a need for a Direct Thermal Label that will not darken in the face of high heat, “said John Short, Marketing Director at NAStar Inc. “HotSafe DT provides a clear image in extreme environments, but the label removes easily to accommodate the fast-paced workplace.”
